Our series of events to lend support and give hope to all of those touched by lung cancer

“A Breath of Hope” Easter Cooking Workshop for Lung Cancer Patients

Date: Saturday, 13 April 2019 (2pm – 5pm) Location: Unit B, 10/F, Speedy Industrial Building, 114 How Ming Street, Kwun Tong, Kowloon
Eggs are highly nutritious, and eating eggs is a great way for patients with lung cancer to get many of the essential nutrients they need.

With Easter approaching, A Breath of Hope held an Easter Cooking Workshop with the theme of eggs on 13th April. Clinical oncologist Dr. Angus Leung and registered dietitian (UK) Ms. Sally Poon joined chef Ms. Celia Chan and a group of lung cancer patients to cook two healthy dishes, avocado egg rolls and broccoli & cheese quiches. Dr. Leung and Ms. Poon also answered questions on dieting and cancer treatments. Both agreed that eggs are highly nutritious and when taken as part of a balanced diet are a good choice for cancer patients.

Everyone enjoyed the experience, and were able to make and try each other’s dishes.

We wish you all a very happy and healthy Easter holiday.
